I created this blog to keep all my friends, family, and supporters up-to-date on my trip to Africa. In September 2008 I came to spend 8 months at the Cradle of Love Baby Home in Arusha, Tanzania. I really appreciate everyone who takes time to read my blog, and I would love to hear from you! Blessings, Katie

Sweet Katie...
I *love* to read your blog!! Thanks for all of the updates and pictures... I'm thankful you are feeling better!
I just packed up a care package for a Union College SM that we know. I wish I could do the same for you... :( I know how they go through packages and things go missing...after you've paid an arm and a leg in duty charges! I remember once I received a package from my sis-in-law. She sent me a jumbo pack of M&M's...but made the mistake of packaging them in a scented soap box!! They foamed up in my mouth...like soap! :(
Your 'afro' pictures are so cute!! Maybe you should try it?!! :)
Love you!
Cindy
Katie, It is so fun to read about your adventures. I am so happy for the Baby boy that no longer is testing Positive for HIV. The picture here is adorable. Keep up the great work of sharing your talents and love. Debra Russell
PS are your seeds growing yet?
Katie, It is so fun to read and see what is happening in Africa. Sounds like you are having a fantastic time. The pic of the child with the Afro is adorable, is it hard to comb the hair? Sounds like you are making an incredible difference for those children ( birthday cake from scratch and everything) I am impressed. Keep up the good work and love for those babies. PS are your seeds growing yet? Debra Russell
